Clemens - 2007 Snowmachine Support
Having
been in Alaska since 1973, I have always enjoyed winter sports.
For 18 years I had a recreational dog team but gave up the dogs
in 1999 and have had a snow machine ever since.
I worked construction in Alaska till 1987 when I began working
on the North Slope. I’m still there working for BP.
I went on the 2005 Serum Run as Steve Charles’ support.
This was my first long distance trip by snow machine and things
couldn’t have been better. I was tired and sore lots of
nights but it was all worth it. It was such a great trip that
I just had to do it again. The people, the weather, the villages
were all great.
When Paul McLarnon asked me to be his support for the 2007 run
I couldn’t resist going for a second time.
This will be another chance to see parts of the state that one
normally doesn’t get to see. I’m looking forward to
seeing it all again with another group of people.
