Black - Snow Machine Support
I was born in Powell, WY and grew up in Cody, WY. I spent a lot
of time in the outdoors and acquired an appreciation for what
an adventurous outdoor life style had to offer. As I got older
I spent time backpacking, snowshoeing and winter camping in the
mountains. I eventually got into mushing and assembled a small
team a couple years before moving to Alaska.
My wife Nancy and I moved to Alaska in 1998. We brought our small
team and hopes of getting more and better dogs. I was raised in
a small town, so in many ways Alaska or at least the area of Alaska
that we had chosen was a perfect fit.
I participated in the Serum Run 2002 as a musher and valued the
experience and opportunity to travel with this expedition.
I am a Flight Engineer for Lynden Air Cargo. I would like to thank
Lynden for the time off and for sponsoring this event.
I am Eager to get on the trail and leave this planning, packing
and bio writing far behind. I look forward to traveling with this
interesting and diverse group of mushers, machiners and dogs.
I am excited to be paired up with Sven Haltman and truly enjoy
his well trained team of young dogs.
